What a week! If you’re anything like me the oncoming warm weather seems to shake loose all kinds of craziness.  We just came off a fantastic March to round out this quarter, and we’re looking forward to a very productive April.  Our industry’s biggest conference just wrapped up in Cologne, Germany and brought tons of new ideas and products to our industry.

What’s the next big meeting you’re attending?  I’ve been dreaming about heading out to Oakland, CA for HustleCON.  Unfortunately, I promised the wife I wouldn’t go to the Bay Area without her, so maybe next time.

This past week I put up some new posts, including Part II of the Small Business Social Media Strategy concept “Push, Pull, Action“.  I plan on releasing Part III very soon, and I want to turn it in to a full-fledged E-Book with a lot more material after that.  Keep an eye out.

Here we go…

Best thing I wrote recently…

Probably this post on making a choice independent of what your competitors are doing.  I’ve had a copy of “Deep Dive” by Rich Horwath sitting on my shelf and it’s been referenced many times. You’ve got to have a frame of reference for making a decision, and I think this is a great way to go about it.  I don’t understand why it’s not a more popular book.

Best thing I didn’t write…

Geoffery James (@Sales_Source) wrote a great piece for Inc.com about Advice CEOs Wish They’d Gotten Before Their First Job that I loved.

Best thing that happened this week…

Meeting the band Missio.  Those are some awesome guys, and I can’t wait for their album in May.  If you’re in to Alt Rock with a dash Skrillex then you’re gonna love them.  If you’re not, listen anyway.  You can follow them on twitter @MissioMusic

What I’m reading right now…

Sprint: How to Solve Big Problems and Test New Ideas in Just Five Days and I’m “reading it” on AudioBook as usual.  Love me some Audible.  You can get your first book free with your Audible Membership.  I’m hoping this book helps us find ways to speed up the testing of new ideas in an industry that is notoriously slow to innovate.

What I’m looking forward to…

Easter.  We’ve got the whole family coming over.  If that’s your thing I hope you’re looking forward to it as well.

The Week Ahead on LeeCoursey.com…

We’re going to talk about Key Performance Indicators for the Small Business.  Look for it on Tuesday!

Thanks for reading!
